Lisa D. Janos is a partner at Brescol & Janos, P.L.C., where she represents individuals, families, and businesses in Monroe County, Michigan and Northwest Ohio. Lisa concentrates her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and the drafting of comprehensive estate planning instruments. She works closely with clients to develop plans that minimize uncertainty, and ensure their intentions are clearly documented and effectively carried out. Her approach emphasizes precision, foresight, and the prevention of future disputes through thoughtful and thorough planning.

In addition to her estate-focused work, Lisa regularly advises clients on real estate matters, as well as corporate and business entity matters, including formation, governance, and transactional documentation. She provides practical guidance to help clients structure and maintain their businesses in a manner that aligns with both legal requirements and long-term objectives.

Lisa began her legal career in Monroe County in 2005, developing a strong foundation in both litigation and transactional matters. She later merged her solo-practice with her husband, Tony Brescol, to form Brescol & Janos, P.L.C.

She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she received academic honors and scholarship recognition, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Lisa is licensed to practice law in both Michigan and Ohio and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She is also accredited to represent clients before the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Lisa has been actively involved in the legal community throughout her career, including serving as President of the Monroe County Bar Association and as a member of the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly. She currently serves as President of the Bedford Township Housing Commission.
